PINK LEMON MAIDS INC. — TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting services from Pink Lemon Maids Inc.—whether by phone, email, online booking form, or direct conversation—you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Pink Lemon Maids Inc. may update these Terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Payment & Booking Terms
Phone Bookings:
We will send you an invoice with a link or e‑transfer instructions. A 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment. We accept e‑transfer and major credit cards (Visa and Mastercard). The remaining balance is due once the cleaning is completed.
Online Bookings:
A credit card is required to reserve your appointment. Entering your card details places an authorization hold to confirm available funds. Your card is not charged at the time of booking. The full balance is charged after the service is completed.
3. Appointment Changes, Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans may change, but we must protect our cleaners’ schedules.
Cancellation Policy:
- More than 48 hours before appointment: No fee
- Within 48 hours of appointment: 50% of the total service price
No-Show / Access Issues:
If our team cannot access your property within the agreed arrival window due to missing keys, incorrect codes, or no one being home, the full service fee will be charged.
All deposits and cancellation fees are non‑refundable.
Please notify us as early as possible so we can offer your time slot to another client.
4. Pest or Infestation Policy
If we discover pests or signs of infestation (e.g., ants, spider infestation, cockroaches, bedbugs, mouse droppings), cleaning will stop immediately. The full service fee still applies. Please resolve pest issues with a licensed exterminator before booking.
5. Estimates, Pricing & Adjustments
Estimates and Booking Form Pricing:
We are transparent with our pricing and scope of services. The estimate and price shown on your booking form are based on the information you provide and reflect the amount you are expected to pay.
Adjustments:
If our cleaners arrive and the home is significantly dirtier than described—such as heavy grease, excessive clutter, hoarding conditions, renovation dust, biohazards, or similar issues—we may adjust the price to reflect the additional labour required or decline the service altogether.
If we must decline service due to biohazards, the full service fee will still be charged, as we clearly state in advance that we do not clean properties containing biohazards.
6. Recurring Cleanings
Recurring clients may cancel at any time with one week’s notice.
Cancellations for individual recurring appointments follow the same rules as Section
7. Service Inclusions & Exclusions
Each service includes the tasks listed on our website. Add‑ons may be selected for an extra fee.
Examples of Add‑Ons
- Spot Cleaning Walls: Light marks, dust, and dirt only. Not full wall washing or paint restoration.
- Appliance Interior Cleaning: Washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher interiors are sanitized, but we do not disassemble parts or perform repairs.
Not Included in Any Cleaning
- Biohazards or bodily fluids
- Animal waste or litter boxes
- Pest-related cleanup
- Ceiling or chandelier cleaning
- Hoarding or remediation
- Exterior areas (balcony, patio, garage, driveway, exterior windows)
- Paint, adhesive, or mold removal
- Tile or grout restoration
- Full wall washing
- Ceiling washing
- Smoke-damaged walls
- Off-site garbage removal
- Clutter organization
- Moving furniture over 35 lbs
- Ladders over 2 steps
- Dishwashing
- Handling or organizing personal items (e.g., china, clothing, closets)
- Laundry (washing clothing)
8. Safety Policy
Our cleaners’ safety comes first.
Cleaners will not:
- Lift or move items over 35 lbs
- Use ladders over two steps
- Work on unstable surfaces
- Handle hazardous substances
- Enter unsafe environments (e.g., aggressive pets, intoxicated individuals, weapons)
- Clean while other contractors are present
- Open the door for anyone
If conditions are unsafe or unsanitary, service will stop and the full fee will apply.
9. Cleaning Supplies & Equipment
We provide all professional cleaning supplies and tools, except for a toilet brush.
If you prefer we use your products, please let us know in advance.
Pink Lemon Maids Inc. is not responsible for results or damage caused by client‑provided products or equipment.
10. Property Access
To ensure timely service:
- Provide accurate entry instructions (key, code, or on‑site contact).
- Keys are securely coded and never mailed.
- If we cannot access the property within the one‑hour arrival window, the full service fee will be charged.
11. Security Systems
Please disable alarms or provide instructions before your appointment.
Pink Lemon Maids Inc. is not responsible for false alarms or related fees.
12. Arrival Windows, Scheduling & Team Assignments
Arrival Window:
All cleaning appointments are scheduled with a one‑hour arrival window to allow for traffic, parking, and unforeseen delays.
Service Duration & Multiple Cleaners:
The quoted service duration is based on one cleaner.
If two cleaners are assigned, the total service time will be split between them.
(Example: A 4‑hour service becomes 2 hours with two cleaners.)
We do our best to accommodate preferred times and preferred cleaners, but we cannot guarantee the same cleaner for every visit.
If extra time is needed due to unexpected conditions, we will notify you before continuing.
13. Pets
We love pets, but safety comes first.
- Please secure pets during cleaning.
- We are not responsible for pets escaping during entry or exit.
- If a pet creates unsafe conditions, the team may leave and the full fee will apply.
14. Valuables & Fragile Items
Please secure or move fragile or valuable items before your cleaning.
Pink Lemon Maids Inc. is not responsible for damage or loss involving unsecured valuables or delicate décor.
15. Damage or Loss Claims
Report any damage within 48 hours of service. We may arrange an inspection or repair.
Pink Lemon Maids Inc. is not liable for:
- Pre‑existing damage
- Faulty or unstable installations
- Unsealed stone or delicate materials
- Recently painted walls or fresh caulking
- Fragile shelving or worn appliance parts
- Loose shower doors
- Issues unrelated to cleaning activities
16. Non‑Solicitation of Contractors
Clients agree not to hire, solicit, or contract any Pink Lemon Maids cleaner for 12 months after their last service.
Violations result in a $3,000 recruitment fee, payable upon demand.
17. Intellectual Property
All branding, materials, processes, and content belong to Pink Lemon Maids Inc.
Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.
18. Privacy & Data Protection
We protect your personal information in accordance with applicable BC privacy laws.
Your information is used only for business operations and is not shared unless required by law.
19. Limitation of Liability
Pink Lemon Maids Inc. is not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by events outside our control, including weather, traffic, or third‑party actions.
We are also not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed appointments, events, or lost income.
20. Photos for Quality Assurance
We may take before‑and‑after photos to document the property’s condition and note any pre‑existing damage.
By booking with us, you authorize these photos for internal documentation only. If we wish to use any photos for marketing and promotions, we will always request your permission first.
21. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied, contact us within 24 hours. We will return to re‑clean any missed areas at no charge.
Requests made after 48 hours cannot be honored due to normal dust accumulation.
We re‑clean only the missed areas, not the entire property.
Refunds are not provided, as time and labour have already been delivered.
22. Refunds
Refunds apply only to cancellations made within the required notice period (see Section 3).
No refunds are issued for incomplete services caused by unsafe or pest‑infested environments.
23. Damage & Liability Coverage
Pink Lemon Maids Inc. carries insurance for accidental damage directly caused by our staff.
To qualify for a claim:
- Report the incident within 24 hours
- Ensure all invoices are paid
- Provide verifiable details
Claims are void when client‑supplied tools or chemicals are used.
Liability is limited to the lesser of:
- The item’s replacement cost, or
- The amount paid for the cleaning service
24. Termination of Service
We may terminate service immediately for:
- Unsafe or abusive behavior
- Repeated cancellations or non‑payment
- Policy violations
25. Gratuities
Tipping is never expected but always appreciated.
All gratuities go directly to your cleaning technician.
26. Parking
Please provide free, accessible parking.
If paid parking is required, a $20 parking fee will be added to your invoice.
27. Office Hours
Our office operates:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Messages left after hours will be returned the next business day.
28. Acceptance
By visiting our website, booking a service, or communicating with Pink Lemon Maids Inc., you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions.
