This detailed Airbnb Cleaning Checklist is designed to guide cleaners through a full property turnover. It includes cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, linen changes, and preparation of the space to ensure a five-star guest experience. Please follow each step carefully and report any missing items or damages to the host immediately.

Hallways & Common Areas (including Living Room)

Dust all surfaces: tables, shelves, frames, décor
Sanitize remote controls, light switches, and door handles
Vacuum carpets and rugs; mop hard floors
Fluff and neatly arrange pillows and throws
Clean windows and window sills (spot clean as needed)
Dust baseboards, vents, corners, and ceiling fans (if reachable)
Ensure electronics are working (TV, lamps, Wi-Fi router)
Check for personal items left behind
Straighten furniture and remove scuffs from walls (if needed)
Wipe and sanitize entry door (inside and outside)
Empty all trash bins and replace liners

Bathrooms

Scrub and disinfect toilet (including base, tank, and behind)
Scrub sink, faucet, countertop, and polish all metal surfaces
Clean and sanitize tub/shower walls, floors, and fixtures
Clean mirrors and glass shower doors
Dust and wipe down vanity, shelves, towel bars, and light fixtures

Closet: tidy hangers, vacuum closet floor, check for extra bedding

Final check: smooth bedding, centered pillows, tidy presentation

Wash all used towels, bathmats, and sheets (if on-site laundry is available)

Check for stains or damage on linens; report or set aside as needed
Make sure laundry area is left tidy and machines are empty

Final Walkthrough & Restocking

Do a final walk-through of the property to ensure nothing is missed
Adjust thermostat/lights as instructed by host
Confirm all trash is removed and bins are clean
Refill all basic supplies: toilet paper, paper towels, soap, coffee, etc. (if provided by host)
Check windows and doors are locked and secured
Check for damages, low supplies, or missing items and report
Take photos of the finished clean (if required by host)
Leave the home staged, fresh-smelling, and ready for new guests
